Through a range of mediums, including painting, photography, moving image and performance, Kevin Siwoff create works that explore the human experience, and uncover hidden truths and contradictions that exist within family structures. His work often draws on personal memories, experiences, and emotions as a starting point, but is then transformed through a process of computer-generated and physical re-stagings, challenging the viewer to consider the impact of personal fiction on our understanding of ourselves and our relationships.
Siwoff’s work has been exhibited, screened, and performed internationally, including Het Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam, NL (2022), Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, DE (2021), Montez Press Radio, South Kiosk Gallery, London, UK, (2020), 9To5: Works In Progress, Atlanta, USA (2017), New Museum IDEAS City Festival, NY, USA (2015), 14th International Architecture Biennale, Venice, IT (2014). He was a 2019 Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome and 2019 Visiting Artist Scholar at the Vittore Branca Center for the Study of Italian Culture in Venice, Italy. He earned an MA from the Royal College of Art in London.
