Kevin Siwoff was born on an island in 1896, and now lives and works between London and New York. His art practice manifests as moving images, writing, videos featuring writing, sounds and performances, and occasionally found and fabricated objects and installations ranging from glow sticks to iron rust. Recent solo projects include living inside a drowned archive in Venice, constructing an Amazon Locker inside a defunct Y2K-era bank vault in Atlanta, Georgia, and writing letters to heroes but never sending them. Recent group exhibitions and collaborative projects include a slideshow of satellite portraits of now-defunct architecture offices around the world, a video of a neighbor walking a marathon around his English garden, a symposium about the politics of cultural institutions from the perspective of 3 fish, and a 10-page poetry reading printed on 1 piece of paper.
